Q. what is mixed media jewelry?
A. Jewelry created by combining different materials and specialized techniques. I am incapable of choosing just one material and technique because I would get board really fast. I need to create and I am always thinking of ways to make unique jewelry.
Q. What Materials do you use to make your jewelry?
A. I use resin both two part and uv resin
Epoxy clay and sculpt
different metals
gemstone beads, cabochons, and crushed gemstone
natural elements like pressed leaves and flowers

different paints and lacquers

Q. What types of chain do you use in your designs?
A. I use both plated chain and filled chain. Check out the description on each listing for the materials used. Filled chain is higher quality and more expensive than plated chain, but both have their own uses. Gold/silver filled pieces have about 2 or 3 layers of actual gold/silver mixed with other metals. Gold/silver plated jewelry is made through the electroplating process, taking a base metal—brass, copper, silver—and then applying a thin gold/silver layer on top. Plated chain is more prone to tarnish but it is stronger due to the base metal vs filled. All chain is lead and nickel free! all my materials are lead and nickel free.
-925 sterling silver filled cable chain- Sterling silver has 92.5% of silver content and 7.5% copper and is a good choice of chain
-14K gold filled cable chain- 14K gold fill piece is created by wrapping an actual layer of 14K gold around a jeweler's brass core (typically 90% copper and 10% zinc) 14k is 5% gold by weight.
-14k Rose gold filled cable chain-Rose gold filled is actually gold filled except copper is mixed with the alloy to give it the rose color.
-18k gold tarnish resistant plated chain-Has a thin layer of 75% pure gold over a copper base metal. this particular chain has an anti tarnish resistant coating on it has undergone a process that significantly reduces the oxidative speed of the gold plated chain.
-Sterling silver plated cable chain-has a thin layer of sterling silver (92.5% of silver content and 7.5% copper) over a brass base metal
-Antique Copper plated cable chain- A thin layer of copper over a brass base
-Rose gold plated cable chain- has a thin layer of rose gold over a copper base metal. this particular chain has an anti tarnish resistant coating on it has undergone a process that significantly reduces the oxidative speed of the gold plated chain.
-Stainless steel cable chain-Simply solid stainless steel that is nickel free. This is a good choice if you have mild metal allergies, everyone is different in what they are allergic to.
-24k antique gold plated cable chain- 24K gold plating is 100% pure gold layer on top of a brass base. 24k gold has a much more yellow color than 18k Gold. This particular chain has an antique look to it
-.999 antique silver plated cable chain- .999 fine silver is 99.9% pure silver layer on top of a brass base. This particular chain has an antique look to it
Q. How do I care for my jewelry?
A. Tarnishing is quite normal. Most chains are plated; the only types of chains that will not tarnish are gold-fill and sterling silver (silver does tarnish, but it can be easily cleaned off). The longevity of the chain's quality depends on how the chain is worn and the maintenance of it.
-Apply cosmetics, hair products, lotions, perfumes and powders prior to donning your jewelry.
-Prevent your items from being exposed to moisture. Moisture will tarnish metal very quickly. Jewelry made with resin is not waterproof either.
-Remove your pieces before showering, swimming, sunbathing, exercising. Remove rings and bracelets before washing your hands or putting on hand sanitizer.
-Prevent damage and breakage by removing your jewelry at bedtime. Sleeping with jewelry you can break or loose your jewelry when tossing and turning.
-Keep all wearable pieces of art out of direct sunlight. extended time in sunlight not only changes the color of metal but it will change the color of the resin pieces.
-Metals may tarnish over time due to oxygen and natural body oils. After wearing your jewelry for the day use a clean jewelry cloth and wipe off your jewelry to get oils off to keep it looking new longer.
-To reduce tarnishing, store jewelry in a sealed bag or box in a dry, dark and cool place. A closed bag is best with an anti tarnish strips.
-Handle jewelry with care. It does not matter how well jewelry is made especially necklaces! If the jewelry is pulled too hard it will break.
Q. How long will it take my order to ship?
A. The items in my shop are already made and ready to ship! I package up the order and take it to the post office within 24 business hours. This excludes weekends and holidays. If it will take me longer than the 24 business hours to ship out I will let you know. I ship USPS only.
Q. Where is my package?
A. Oh my! Shipping delays and extended delivery times can happen! If I could have control over what happens to your package after I drop it off at the post office that would be awesome, but I do not. When packages go missing or are damaged I am as upset as you are! but we are in this together. Once a shipping label has been generated and the associated package has arrived and been scanned at a USPS facility, the shipping and handling process is beyond my control. Here are the steps to monitor the status of your package:
-Make sure before you purchase that your address information is correct.
-You will receive an email once your order has shipped and make sure to take note of the tracking info.
-If the package looks like it is stuck for more than 2 weeks after it is marked “in transit” the next step is to fill out a Where is my package through the USPS. Feel free to contact me and I can help you if you have any questions at the email address orders@sweetellabella.com. Once the package has been marked delivered it is now in the hands of your local post office. If it shows a delivered status and is not at your home contact your local post office to see where it might be. The post office should have a GPS on where your package has been scanned delivered and sometimes it gets delivered 24 to 48 hours later.
-If your package shows up damaged please get pictures of the damage, both packaging and your item. I can’t submit an insurance claim without proof that the item is damaged. Email the pictures to Orders@sweetellabella.com. within 2 business days of receiving the package.
-After all the years I have been running this business 99.9% of packages arrive safe and sound. If you have any issues I will be happy to help and I resolve the issue on a case by case basis on what to do next. All the steps above must be completed before a refund or a remake, unfortunately it is due to scammers that try to get free products that I need to follow a certain protocol.
Q. What if my jewelry breaks due to wear or an accident?
A. Due to having such tiny dainty chains, the necklaces can break if handled too harshly. If your jewelry breaks due to this I do not accept returns or exchanges. I will fix your jewelry if you pay for the shipping costs to and from as well as a fixing fee. If this happens please let me know and we can arrange shipment back to me to fix. Q. What is your return policy
I gladly accept returns and exchanges and you have 30 days to do so,
After 30 days NO returns
Contact me within: 2 days of delivery
Ship items back within: 30 days of delivery
I Don’t except cancellations
But please contact me if you have any problems with your order.
The following items can’t be returned or exchanged
Because of the nature of these items, unless they arrive damaged or defective, I can't accept returns for:
Custom or personalized orders
Intimate items (for health/hygiene reasons) such as earrings
Items on sale
Conditions of return
Buyers are responsible for return shipping costs. If the item is not returned in its original condition, the buyer is responsible for any loss in value.
Sweetellabella does not hold any responsibility for the following situation to the products:
- No returns If it has been longer than 30 days after delivery of the item.
-Item breaks due to wear or harsh treatment. No matter how well jewelry is made it can break if it is pulled hard enough.No returns on earrings!!!
I do not accept returns on earrings unless they arrive damaged. If they do arrive damaged please contact me within 24 hours of delivery with a picture of the damage.
Since Earrings go into the earlobe and can possibly come in contact with blood, I can't resell them for health reasons. This is the reason you will never see me wearing the earrings in pictures. All my earrings have never been worn before.
